Helping Children (and Parents) Grow and Develop
Welcome
Occupational therapy on a real farm? Julie Abrams and Associates offers unique services for children that provide real life experiences in a natural environment. Children develop and improve strength, balance, emotional regulation, attention and empathy in a sensory enriched farm setting. Goals in occupational therapy are met through working and caring for goats, chickens, ducks, and rabbits, and the land. In addition, a therapeutic room provides a comfortable and supportive space to improve sensory processing through swings, ramps, tunnels, etc.

Here's what parents are saying about the class...

"Julie's class was extremely helpful for getting both of us on the same page about how to respond to our children. The information and guidance was delivered without judgement and in a joyful, caring way. We both left the class with an optimistic view of our children's learning journey, as well as resourced with specific ways to respond to challenging moments."

This class was amazing!! At first I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of information that was presented, but at the same time it was so informative that I couldn't wait for the next week! Julie walked us through so many scenarios that were so true to our lives and at the same time she gave us tools to help us navigate our daily challenges. I have had several break throughs with my grandson and am excited to use more tools to continue on a calming path with him! I highly recommend this class!! Thank you Julie!!

Put quite simply, Julie’s ADHD class improved our daily family function and our relationship with our son!
Starting the class with a biological background of ADHD gave us a deeper understanding of what is truly reasonable to expect from our kiddo and a greater compassion for his daily life.
Throughout this class, we learned techniques to introduce a greater sense of routine, calm, consequences and connection in our family. The input of both Julie and the community of care givers taking this class was a great a value as the material itself!
Prior to this class, our morning routine was painful and left us all starting our days anxious and upset. Collaborating with our kiddo, we developed a family system that motivates him and us- and mornings are efficient and happier.
I highly recommend this class to help you tackle those tough parenting challenges and to support and connect with your kiddo
